Galway racecourse

The Ballybrit Race Track is the accurate name of the Galway Festival racecourse it is one and a half furlongs in length and is a right handed track. Both jump and flat races are accommodated. The final two fences over the jumps are famous or even infamous for being the closest two fences of any racecourse anywhere in the world. They are situated in a dip at the bottom of a steep decline. Having cleared these two fences the horses will then meet a steep incline before hitting the winning post. The fences will almost certainly affect the Galway race betting 2009. Those with high draws are usually favoured in flat races over seven furlongs and a mile. This should be remembered when taking advantage of our Galway Festival Free Bet facility. We will also be serving up our own dish of daily Galway Festival Tips, where we will try to point you in the right direction of the best possible odds
